4th SOUTHERN DIPLOMATE PROGRAM: THE RETINA, CONCLUDES

Did you miss SDP course 200, 203, or 204 offered at SECO International 2003 or course 200 or 203 offered at SECO International 2004? If you missed one or more of these courses, you may take the course(s) online to receive credit toward completion of the 2003-2004 Southern Diplomate Program: The Retina. But hurry, the deadline to complete these courses online is August 2, 2004. Those who complete all eight of the 2003-2004 Southern Diplomate Program courses will be presented with an attractive wall plaque at the opening session of SECO International 2005, along with a news release and photo of the plaque presentation. DIGITAL GRAND ROUNDS PROVIDE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

Every practice is faced with odd or obscure cases that perplex even the best minds. Digital Grand Rounds (DGR) is a unique online rounds library that provides free access to interesting and grand rounds cases. Digital Grand Rounds is sponsored in part by CIBA Vision/Novartis Ophthalmics, and has recently been updated with new cases. Take a few moments to browse the library for cases that provide an educational experience which will simply intrigue you.

Think you have a unique case for DGR? Contact SECO International for more information about submitting a case for publication. It's as simple as 1,2,3 to submit your case, and it could be seen worldwide if it makes the cut into the Digital Grand Rounds!


SOUTH AFRICA'S VISION 2004 CONGRESS & EXHIBITION

Vision 2004 Congress & Exhibition takes place September 3-6, 2004, in Johannesburg, South Africa. This meeting provides a great opportunity to combine continuing education with a trip to a destination renowned for its great warmth and vitality. The continuing education program runs September 3-6, and the registration fees include access to all lectures, workshops, the exhibition, and social functions. The program covers all aspects of optometry, as well as sports vision and alternative health therapies. But most of all, Vision 2004 in South Africa is a wonderful opportunity to meet colleagues from other countries in an environment of mutual interest and respect. Vision 2004 has appointed Celafrica Tours as the official tour operator of the meeting. September in South Africa is the beginning of summer, and a wonderful time to be on safari.
