This case was sent to me by Phillip L. Knapp O.D. of Littleton, Colorado. My deepest thanks are extended.

A 21 y/o white male presents for a general eye exam. His chief complaint was that of contact lens discomfort starting two weeks earlier. Best corrected vision was 20/20 OD, OS 20/15 OU with -2.50 soft lenses. Upon slit lamp exam, the corneas had the appearance shown in the BioVID digital photo shown here.

What is this condition?
