Case #64

A 73 y/o white female presents in your office. She complains of the vision in her right eye becoming very bad over the past week. The other eye is fine. She's a very unhappy camper, saying that her left eye has always been her 'bad' eye, and when she noticed the right eye having gotten worse than the left, she know something was going on.

Best corrected vision in the right eye was found to be 20/200+ while the left eye was 20/40+2.

Corneas were fine, but there was a bit of nuclear sclerosis in both eyes. No anterior chamber abnormalities.

Muscle fields were normal. IOP was 21 in the right eye and 22 in the left.

Take a look at the photo to the left. The other eye looked completely normal.
