The lesion was diagnosed clinically as a conjunctival papilloma. The lesion was removed under general anesthesia and sent out for pathologist evaluation.

The pathology report read:

Histologic sections reveal fragments of stratified squamous epitheium forming a hyperplastic, papillomatous proliferation which is not atypical. The lesion is not significantly inflamed. The proliferating epithelium shows maturation, and is not dysplastic. DX: Conjunctiva, biopsy - squamous papilloma, non-atypical.
