A 42 y/o white female presented with complaints that her eyes were red and irritated all the time. The symptoms had begun two months ago. Light bothered her, and there always felt like something was in her eyes. She was an occasional contact lens wearer, but had stopped completely about five weeks ago. She was concerned because the condition was not improving.
Best corrected vision in the right eye was 20/20, left eye was 20/25.
Muscle fields were normal. IOP was normal as well, 18 in the right, 20 in the left.
Retina looked fine in both eyes.
Take a look at the photo to the left. Her cornea in both eyes looked almost identical.
