Case #53

A 53 y/o white male presented with complaints that the vision in his right eye had dropped rapidly over the past week. His left eye was fine... no complaints.

Best corrected vision in the right eye was 20/100, left eye was 20/25.

Anterior segment looked good. There was no corneal problem, nor any anterior chamber reaction.

Muscle fields were normal. IOP was normal as well, 16 in the right, 19 in the left.

Take a look at the photo and you can see what his right optic nerve looked like. The left was completely normal in appearance.
