Ok, on with the case #44...
A 34 y/o white female presented with complaints of "sparkling or flickering lights". This photopsia had been constant for days. No personal or family history of chronic systemic or eye disease was reported.
The patient's acuity was a strong 20/20 in both eyes, uncorrected. Biomicroscopy revealed trace cells in the anterior chamber of the right eye. IOP was normal... 16mm Hg OU. Pupils were normal, as was all EOM testing.
Both eyes were dilated and you can see a portion of the right eye's retina in the photo to your left.
What is the diagnosis, and what management most likely ensured?
