L.M. was an 8 y/o black female seen upon referral from the local emergency room. Her mother reported that L.M. was hit in the right eye with a stick 2 weeks ago at a friends home. The right eye had been swollen over the last three days. L.M. said that the eye was very painful and that she couldn't see. The mother went on to say that the eye had been draining for a week, and that 3 days ago a "sac" had dropped down in the eye and that L.M. could no longer close the eye.
Findings included:
Best corrected acuity was 20/60 in the right eye and 20/25 in the left.
Cornea was perfectly healthy.
Anterior chamber was clear and deep, OU.
IOP was normal in both eyes.
Motility and pupils were normal OU.
