Whoooo!! Let's see who can get this one right! Very interesting case. I do hope you'll take the time to really work on it and not just bail out and look at the answer too fast. Go through the hints SLOWLY to get the most out of it.
N.G. is a 90 y/o black female who has been followed in our office for many years. She's had complications from diabetic retinopathy as well as early SMD. Her vision has been hovering in the 20/60 range OD, OS, OU with IOLs bilaterally.
She shows up this spring with an apparent subconjunctival hemorrhage in the right eye. Take a look at the photo. Doesn't look too far out. We let her go and she comes back a month later with the lesion basically unchanged. Anterior chamber was deep and clear. Cornea clear with no edema. IOP was fine.
What is this lesion?
Don't hesistate to bring this case up for discussion... either on our Internet mailing list or our ocular disease forum. See the URL at the bottom of this screen, or contact me, Walt Mayo, OD, at waltmayo@sccoast.net.
Thanks!
