A 39 y/o black female presented with complaints of 'smokey' vision for the previous two weeks. She had a history of stroke in 1986. A tentative diagnosis of of Lupus had also been made during that same year. She had been on prednisone for the past twelve months, but didn't really know why.
Uncorrected VA was 20/50 OD, OS, OU. A mild myopic correction yielded no improvement in distance vision.
IOP was 10 mmHg in the right and 11 mmHg in the left. Motilities were full. Pupils were normal.
Anterior segment examination was normal in both eyes.
Dilated retinal evaluation showed changes as seen here in the accompanying photo. Angiography (early phase) of the same eye is also shown.
