A 33 y/o white female in good general health presents with complaints of seeing "floaters", usually multicolored, and sometimes associated with headaches. A significant fact is that these floaters were much more noticeable immediately after delivering her last child three months previously. She claimed that the delivery was slightly complicated, and that the anesthetic Duramor was used.
Best corrected vision was 20/20 OD, OS, OU. Her external exam was unremarkable. Pupils were normal. EOMs were full and smooth. IOP was 16 mmHg in the right eye and 17 mmHg in left.
Fundus examination was also normal, with flat retinas OU and CD ratio of .2 OU. Overall, things looked normal.
Amsler grid, however, revealed several small distorions and missing areas near fixation. Fields were subsequently performed (Humphrey 30-2) and you can see the results.
